Abstract

Qing-ren Wang's 'YI UN GAI CUA(ì¢×ùËÇó¹)¡¯ is a unique Blood stasis (also blood stagnation) prescription medical classic of China's Qing Dynasty. It has a clinical utility even today, so it's research value is high. Comparative study of medical classic allows us to not only find similar prescriptions but also expand prescription knowledge(indication, pathology, treatment principle) of similar prescriptions.
In a research method, similar prescriptions were found by comparing the weight ratio of herbal medicines composition between 5 medical classics'(YiLinGaiCuo + 4 famous medical classics) prescriptions through the Microsoft's Access program. And the contents of the medical classic were analyzed to compare the indications, treatment principles, and pathologies between similar prescriptions. As a result, 4 Qing-ren Wang's prescriptions were found to be similar to other 4 medical classics¡¯ prescriptions and we expand the indications of the four similar prescriptions and supplement the existing insufficient prescription knowledge of YiLinGaiCuo based on other 4 medical classics. Through this study, we confirmed that the same method can be used for other prescriptions to expand the indication and supplement prescription knowledge by medical classic.
